DeMarco Roofing had the honor of receiving a National Award from the National Roofing Contractors Association for their historical restoration work on the Dam Tender's house in Columbus, Ohio. The dam and the house were built in 1908 after 195 people, including Ohio Senator Mark Hanna, died in 1904 as a result of typhoid from the bad drinking water. The house was built for the dam tender (keeper) and his family to live in. Vandals had their toll on the place, along with weather and other circumstances. The City of Columbus has actually stepped in and hired DeMarco Roofing to bring this historic treasure back to its prominence along the bank of the Scioto River.
Before the restoration took place, the tender's house was in very poor condition. Almost to the point of losing the structure.
DeMarco Roofing stepped in and began a complete historical renovation.
After all the hardwork, DeMarco brought this property back to prominence and was a National Award winner for their work!
